Lagosta Nua brings together some of the sharpest comedic minds for a fast-paced, feel-good night of entertainment.

Whether you’re a comedy connoisseur or just looking for a fun night out, this is your chance to laugh out loud and give to Animais de Rua at the same time!

Lagosta Nua is an international improvisational comedy troupe that has been performing in Porto for the past two years.

Amateurs and professionals get together every Sunday for two hours of interactive clowning around similar to the popular tv show“Whose Line is it Anyway”.

Newcomers are always welcome. The only requirement is the ability to have fun!

Clandestino street food is coming to Porto! Born in Brazil and then moved to the USA as Barbarian Fine Cuisine, this pop-up business is the brainchild of Chris (from Alaska) and Thais (from Brazil). No matter where they serve, they believe in real food made from scratch, with love and premium ingredients.

Ceramic Workshop – Christmas Ornaments

We have raised €150 to support APF – Associação Para o Planemento da Familia

Nov 2nd and Nov 16th, 2025 – One Event in 2 Classes!

Get into the festive spirit at Barro Vivo Studio with ceramic artist Dominique.

In this 2-session workshop you will create unique handmade ornaments perfect for your tree, gifts, or cozy holiday decor. You will make about 10-12 ornaments.

The workshop includes both sessions, along with clay, tools, glazing, firing, tea, coffee, and a small snack. No experience needed, just bring your holiday spirit!

Barro Vivo is a lovely, bright space. The perfect place to spark creativity, conversation and Christmas joy!

The workshop is limited to a small group of 8 people to keep the experience personal and hands-on.

Session 1
Get your hands dirty and shape your ornaments from clay! Cut them out, add texture, or try sgraffito (carving into colored slip) to make them truly yours.

Session 2
Time to decorate and glaze your creations. Bring them to life and start glazing!!

Each session is approximately 2.5 hours

We will meet at São Bento Station for the 12:45pm Braga train and travel together to São Romao Station. Transportation from the station to the Barro Vivo studio will be provided.

Thank you to Quevedo Lodge and everyone who attended this event on Oct. 15, 2025 . We are especially grateful to the Representatives from APF for educating us about the critically important work APF does to combat human trafficking, homelessness, addiction, domestic violence and so much more.

Quevedo is a small winery from the Douro Valley with a rich heritage of wine making in Portugal.

We will gather to mix and mingle upstairs in the Lodge, a unique 200-year-old building located in the historic Gaia Cais area.

We will learn about this award winning, knowledgeable and friendly company while enjoying their finest Port wines and hand selected culinary delights.

Symphony and Spirits

The Symphony and Spirits concert was an exceptional evening, with lively singing, dancing, and a warm sense of community. Guests enjoyed good food and drink, contributing to a highly successful event.

We are proud to share that a total of €907 was raised in support of Animais de Rua — a remarkable achievement for a meaningful cause.

We would like to thank singer Amy Joy – Singer with Soul, The Nova Mistura Band, The Fourth Meal and Scoundrels for making the evening so much fun!

On June 26th, Porto Kind proudly hosted a delightful Bean-to-Bar Chocolate Tasting event, raising €140 in support of Kastelo House charity. This engaging experience allowed participants to explore the rich world of artisanal chocolate while contributing to a meaningful cause.

Discover Glad: Ethical Chocolate Makers in Porto

Our partner for the evening, Glad, is a renowned artisanal chocolate company based in Porto. They are committed to sourcing their cacao beans directly from ethical and sustainable farms in Ecuador, Madagascar, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. Glad’s dedication to quality means that all chocolate is crafted in their Boat Vista lab without the use of artificial flavors, emulsifiers, or additives, ensuring a pure and authentic chocolate experience.

What Attendees Experienced

Guided Tasting: Participants enjoyed a curated tasting session featuring a variety of chocolate bars, rich drinking chocolate, and unique cacao infusions. This immersive experience introduced them to the intricate process of bean-to-bar chocolate making.

On Friday, June 20th, Porto Kind proudly hosted an engaging olive oil production education and tasting event at theLAB Porto, benefiting the Animais de Rua charity. We are thrilled to announce that the event raised €290, making it a resounding success!

Discover the Flavors of Trás-os-Montes

We invite you to relive the unforgettable evening with Diana Falcão, who shared insights about her family farm, Quinta Mourisca do Alendouro, and its artisanal olive oils and vinegars. Attendees celebrated the new harvest while immersing themselves in the rich traditions of Trás-os-Montes, a region celebrated for its exceptional olive growers and commitment to sustainable practices.

What Attendees Experienced

Olive Oil 101: Participants explored the fascinating journey of olive oil production, from the meticulous harvesting process to the final bottling.

Organic Growth: Attendees discovered Quinta Mourisca do Alendouro’s dedication to eco-friendly production methods and learned about their journey in developing a multifaceted agricultural project.

Sensory Experience: Guests indulged their senses with a guided tasting of three exceptional olive oils, two exquisite vinegars, and a delightful red wine.

Filigree Workshops

Last week’s two Filigree Workshops raised €149 in support of our APF charity. Thank you to all who attended, your participation made a difference. We’re pleased to share that we will definitely be hosting this event again in September.

Quiz Event

Thank you to everyone who brought gifts & gave donations for the recent quiz night event!


Today, we went to Kastelo House to drop off 44 gifts for staff & we also bought them a coffee machine & some goodies with the remaining money so that they can really feel appreciated!
