DESCRIPTION:The Symphony and Spirits concert was an exceptional evening\, with lively singing\, dancing\, and a warm sense of community. Guests enjoyed good food and drink\, contributing to a highly successful event.  \n\n\n\nWe are proud to share that a total of €907 was raised in support of Animais de Rua — a remarkable achievement for a meaningful cause. \n\n\n\nWe would like to thank singer Amy Joy – Singer with Soul\, The Nova Mistura Band\, The Fourth Meal and Scoundrels for making the evening so much fun! \n\n\n\nA special thanks to our very own Fiona for her hard work and dedication to this event!

Attendees celebrated the new harvest while immersing themselves in the rich traditions of Trás-os-Montes\, a region celebrated for its exceptional olive growers and commitment to sustainable practices. \n\n\n\nWhat Attendees Experienced\n\n\n\nOlive Oil 101: Participants explored the fascinating journey of olive oil production\, from the meticulous harvesting process to the final bottling.  \n\n\n\nOrganic Growth: Attendees discovered Quinta Mourisca do Alendouro’s dedication to eco-friendly production methods and learned about their journey in developing a multifaceted agricultural project.  \n\n\n\nSensory Experience: Guests indulged their senses with a guided tasting of three exceptional olive oils\, two exquisite vinegars\, and a delightful red wine. \n\n\n\nThank You for Your Support!\n\n\n\nWe extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended and contributed to this event. SUMMARY:Wine Tasting at Portus Wine Boutique
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, 24 February we had our second Porto Kind Event – a wine tasting at Portus Wine Boutique. \n\n\n\nIt was a lovely evening spent journeying through Portugal from north to south tasting fabulous wines and learning more about the various methods of wine making. The group sampled a selection of 6 wines from small producers along with some wonderful of Portuguese delicacies. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSérgio and Carla Santos\, the owners and founders of Portus wine\, were our gracious and knowledgeable hosts. They really went out of their way to make it a very special event for the group. \n\n\n\nAs well as being a great social event\, we raised €200 for the charity this month’s charity – Kastelo. \n\n\n\nKastelo is a Charity House located in Sao Mamede de Infesta\, Matosinhos\, that provides continuing and palliative care for children from birth to eighteen years old. SUMMARY:Cocktail Gathering at The Yeatman
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, 6 April we had a wonderful relaxed cocktail gathering at The Yeatman hotel. Thirty members of the Porto Together Community gathered together to raise money for the APF while enjoying eachother’s company. The weather was perfect to sit out on the terrace with our Porto Tonics and enjoy the stunning views of Porto and the River Douro. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe were very lucky to have Nuno and Catarina from APF join us for the event. They were able to take time to talk with us individually about the good work that APF does. \n\n\n\nNuno and Catarina also had a special message of thanks to the Community for all that we do to help support them. Your generosity means a lot to the APF and means they can do things that they normally wouldn’t have the funds for. \n\n\n\nThis month we have been able to donate €500 to the APF from money raised by this event plus our other charity collection activities (bookmarks/cards\, nametags and vegetables from Laura’s Horta) . \n\n\n\nThank you to everyone for your generous support of our charity work. SUMMARY:Kastelo Train Ride Outing
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, 16 members of our Porto Together Community went along to Kastelo House to help the children take a small train ride around the area surrounding the home. It was a great opportunity to be outside and just have fun. \n\n\n\nThe children had a fabulous time and so did the volunteers. Everyone who participated said how moving the afternoon was and how pleased they were to have an opportunity to help such a remarkable organization. \n\n\n\nThe children’s smiles on the day were infectious and they really enjoyed the bubbles that the ladies (and one gentleman) took along. \n\n\n\nIt was a heart warming experience getting to spend time with the precious children and a great way to see the work Kastelo do. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThank you so much to all who volunteered. Your work was very appreciated by the children and all those at Kastelo xx
